Nicki Minaj is on the warpath with her latest release, “Bigfoot.”
Even though she claims it’s not a “diss track,” it’s hard to interpret it as anything but, considering both the lyrics and the timing. Barbie previewed “Bigfoot” on Instagram Live late last week, and teased the release throughout the weekend.
On the song, Nicki takes all sorts of shots at Megan Thee Stallion, including mocking her height, her flow, her shooting and the injury and she suffered, and her looks. But the most heinous bars bring up Megan’s late mother, and claim that Meg has lied on her name. Towards the end of “Bigfoot”, Nicki offers an ultimatum -- "apologize to your mom in the next 24 hours" or else, threatening to spill even more tea in “round two.”
Upon “Bigfoot”’s release, Nicki posted on Twitter, “It’s been ready for two days. Just was tryna become and let her get her lil’ streams. Wasn’t gon’ say anything. But I remember how everyone kept my name in their mouth and how I said the next person (who) mentions my family gon’ regret it. By the way, they haven’t even heard the song. Who said it’s even a “diss”? Never even knew I had this much power.”
