SZA and Victoria Monet were some of the biggest winners at the 66th annual Grammy Awards, with three wins apiece, while Taylor Swift made history by winning Album of the Year for the fourth time ever.
Other big winners included Killer Mike ,who won three statuettes during the pre-telecast, for Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song and Best Rap Album. He was then arrested by LAPD on battery charges and led away in handcuffs, and was released a few hours later.
Jay-Z was honored with the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award and used his stage time to speak truth to power, speaking about the history of hip-hop performers boycotting the Grammys and explaining that usually, the artists would still watch from the hotel room, and noting how they just want the Recording Academy to get things right. He then called out one particular injustice as he saw it -- the fact that his wife, Beyonce, has won "more Grammys than everyone" and still has never won the top prize of Album of the Year.
