- It’s funny that he is attributing the lack of interest to a young audience, when Essence Fest tends to skew closer to the “grown and sexy” crowd.
- He should have just told them "If you really wanna party with me... put all your hands where my eyes can see."
- I'll never get those folks who go out to a concert just to act too cool for school.
- Some folks are more interested in trying to be seen than the artist that they've come to see.
- Busta sounds like a diva. At an event like Essence Festival, it's foolish to assume that everyone in the crowd is there to see you.
- It's about having a basic level of respect.
Busta Rhymes wasn’t feeling the lack of enthusiasm from the Essence Festival crowd over the weekend.
Busta even paused his performance to let fans in the Superdome know that the energy was off. He said, “Ayo, [eff] them camera phones, too. Let’s get back to interacting like humans. Put them weird-ass devices down. I ain’t from that era. Them [things] don’t control the soul. [Eff] your phone… I will point every last one of y’all out until y’all asses is up.”
