IN BLANKSTARE NEWS: Friendships holding strong …

A new survey found that the average American adult has about four to five friends, which is pretty much the same as in past decades. Only 2% of people say they don’t have any friends at all.

Despite all the reports of loneliness, it seems friendships in the U.S. are alive and well. A new survey found that the average American adult has about four to five friends, which is pretty much the same as in past decades. Only 2% of people say they don’t have any friends at all.

That said, many people wish they could spend more time with their friends or have deeper connections with them. The survey found that while 75% are happy with the number of friends they have, 42% feel they aren’t as close to their friends as they’d like to be. Bottom line: There’s always room for a little more quality time with your friends.
