Kendrick Lamar fans aren’t sure what to believe after rumors of a new album started circulating on social media.
It all started with supposed screenshots of a text conversation with K-Dot himself, where he seemingly said that an album is “coming,” started making the rounds. Now, producer and media personality, DJ Hed is calling cap, posting the blue hat emoji and pointing out that “Dot don’t really talk to nobody, especially not Ak[ademiks].”
If you’re wondering why Akademiks’ name was brought into this, he said on live streams as recently as last week that his sources told him Kendrick is “loading up.” But it was only a couple of months back that DJ Hed himself said he “wouldn’t be surprised” if Kendrick put out “something soon,” noting that he doesn’t “know for sure.”
