The transition into a new year offers feelings of optimism for many people, and as 2025 approaches, nearly half of Americans believe their finances will improve next year. According to a survey from Bankrate, 44% of Americans are expecting more money in their pockets in the new year. That number marks an increase from surveys in previous years. Last year, only 37% said they were optimistic and in 2023 just 34% expressed financial optimism. That said, 44% said they are still concerned about inflation. The most optimistic group of people are Gen Zers.
