Parents everywhere are splurging on their kids this holiday season, but one state in particular is really going all out. A survey from online shopping site Coupon Birds found that, overall, American parents are spending around $461 per kid on Christmas gifts. But kids in New Jersey will have some extra stocking stuffers, with parents planning to drop $712 per child this holiday season. New Jersey is followed by Texas ($659 per kid) and Pennsylvania and Massachusetts ($648 per kid) in the big spending department. The survey also found that 9% of parents will spend $1000 or more per child.
