IN BLANKSTARE NEWS: Too fat for pizza … 

We can all agree that you can never have too many pizza places in town – unless you happen to live in the town of Bacup, England, near Manchester. A pizza chain called Woody's Pizza submitted an application with the town board to open up a new location. They even promised to buy ingredients from local producers and suppliers. But the town rejected their application on the grounds that the kids in town are already too fat, and another pizza shop would contribute to an obesity problem. They argued that one-in-five 11-year-old kids are obese, and they cite the abundance of take-out food businesses as the culprit.
