Rod Wave has been busted in Fulton County, Georgia on a whopping 14 charges.
The âStreet Runnerâ rapper is accused of aggravated assault involving the use of a firearm at his Atlanta-area home â in violation of the terms of his previously granted bond.Â
TMZÂ reports that he was visiting the property a month ago with realtors and other associates after it was burglarized. He wound up getting into an argument with one of his associates while moving items out of the residence, leading to a Glock semiauto pistol being pulled and fired. Heâs accused of firing off 14 shots, with 11 of those rounds connecting with his associateâs Mercedes G Wagon, while others hit Rodâs 2022 Rolls-Royce and a wall of the residence. Witnesses claim that after cops were called, he scrambled to clean up the shell casings and flee the scene with the evidence.Â
Now, he faces a laundry list of charges, including possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, reckless conduct, criminal damage to property in the second degree, willful obstruction of law enforcement officers, a felony count of tampering with evidence, simple assault, and conspiracy to commit a felony.Â
After being taken into custody yesterday (Tuesday), he was released on the same day after posting a $50,000 bond.
His lawyers say, âThere is no truth to these charges. Rod Green was a victim of a burglary and committed no crimes. How he was even charged as a result of this situation is incomprehensible. This will absolutely be resolved favorably to Mr. Green."
