Young Thug has some career advice for all of the rats in the rap game.
Thugger took to social media recently where he suggested a pivot for the artists that seemingly prefer snitching over songs. He said straight up, “If you a rapper and you a rat, you gotta just go gospel, twin.”
While he stopped short of naming names, his stance on snitching is well-known and well-documented. Last year, he distanced himself from former artist and associate, Gunna. In April, he dropped “Money on Money” which featured subliminal shots like “Brother, you a rat” and “Twin, you a rat., you smoked.” And just a couple of months back, he took to Twitter to share thoughts on the Diddy trial, writing, “Damn, Cudi’s a rat. LOL.”
Lecrae responded, “You’re welcome over here, too, fam. It ain’t a graveyard… it’s a garden.
Here’s what people are saying:
- You’re literally not even legally allowed to rap about gangsta [stuff] anymore. You do gospel!
- You could be dropping music about Keed passing, Quan passing, Takeoff passing, your BM passing, Trouble passing and your jail experience as a whole on some introspective stuff, but you’re too focused on street politics.
- Thugger straight up sounds like Gangstalicious from the Boondocks
- Hope this applies to your buddy, Drake.
- Since you been out, you haven’t given us a single hit, Gunna gave us two albums already and they still on rotation.
- Y’all lost without Gunna.
- Talking about being a rat but openly supporting Diddy and signed Nine Vicious…
- Subs at Gunna is this guy’s whole rollout strategy.
- Aye bruh, you know the DA will use this to revoke your probation, right? Leave the internet alone, man.”
- Gunna still does better than you making gospel music.
